Check that Text call is off

Good to know

  1. On this phone the feature is called Text call, under Phone → menu → Settings → Call settings.
  2. Text call is off on this phone. A voice assistant answers the call, asks the caller why they’re calling, and shows their replies in a text chat — you can type or tap responses to be read aloud to the caller.
  3. The video never turns Text call on and never answers a real call, so the screening itself is not demonstrated — only that the setting exists and is off.
  4. The narration mentions dismissing an update prompt with Not now if it appears; no such prompt appears in this recording.
  5. Text call is different from Record calls and Call captions, which are separate rows on the same Call settings page.
